Which wood and how much wood is needed to heat the hot tub?

If you have dry and clean wood, you will need 20 wood logs to heat the hot tub and you will

2 à 2,5 firing hours before the hot tub has heat.

Due to heating up time, we have already heard other stories about burning 6 à 7 hours?

Yes, that is possible when working with heaters that get little efficiency or outside of the hot tub stand.

How is the hot tub delivered?

The assembly of the hot tub is done on the spot, that way we can deliver anywhere and no additional material such as a crane has to be hired.

What about the water?

To keep the water fresh for longer, we offer a biological filtering or pump. These systems ensure that the water in the hot tub stays fresh longer and you do not have to constantly refresh the water.

What does a hot tub cost?

Strengths of a hot tub by Modis®

The wood stove is in the water

Because the stove is in the water there is a relatively quick warming of the hot tub.

Depending on the size, the warm-up time is 2 to 2,5 hours.

The stove is in aluminum

Aluminum is an ideal conductor of heat. Modis® therefore only uses heaters in aluminum.

The stoves are spacious enough to heat up the water well and efficiently.

Hottub by Modis® is made in Canadian red cedar (= WRC)

We make our hot tubs in WRC. WRC is durable, resistant to wind and weather, gives a pleasant aroma and should not be oiled or painted. The wood gets a gray patina after a while.

A hot tub is WRC remains leak free during 15 à 20 year.

WRC (= Western Red Cedar) gives off an oil (no resin), making the water feel soft in the hot tub.

Construction on site

The Modis® team builds your hot tub on the spot, ie no crane work or other heavy equipment is required during the installation of your hot tub.

What about the water in the hot tub?

Because the water in the hot tub would stay fresh longer, we offer a number of customized adjustments (biological filtering, sand filter, ...).

What is a hot tub?

De hot tub is a round wood fired outdoor pool. The wood-burning stove in the water ensures smooth heating. Our hot tubs are made of Canadian red cedar (= WRC). The cedar releases an oil and thus ensures a soft and skin-friendly water in the hot tub. A hot tub in WRC remains 'leak-free' for 15 to 20 years.

The under-water heater burns on dry, clean wood. It usually takes an 2 hour before the hot tub is ready for use (+/- 38 ° C). We offer various solutions for keeping the water fresh for longer. Hottubs are available in different diameters: 180cm, 210cm and 250cm. The height is 90cm. Your hot tub will be installed on site by us. If you are handy and you have sufficient hand tools, you can purchase the hot tub as a DIY kit.

A hot tub is a 'kitchen' bath and not a hot tub!

De hot tub is back-to-basic. It originated in the Arctic regions: the residents developed a wood-fired bath with limited resources to warm themselves up. The simplicity of the wood-fired hot tub brings counterweight is a world of smartphones, tablets and other high-tech gadgets. A wood-fired hot tub is a pure form of relaxation: no technology, no noise. Enjoyment starts with creating the fire and being busy outside.

* At 'Saunabarrel by Modis®' in Tielt on one of our open-garden days (announced by newsletter, on our site and our Facebook page).

* You can easily request and / or order a quotation via e-mail.

* We work together with a limited number of dealers at home and abroad.

Who takes care of the installation and installation of your hot tub?

* The managers of 'Saunabarrel by Modis®'for Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, ....

* The hot tub is always mounted on site => no tap, ... necessary.

* You can also choose to mount your hot tub yourself and enjoy a self-build discount for that.
